About DoorstepPicks
DoorstepPicks helps you choose a security camera system for your home, with a focus on kits that record to a local drive.
Kits look alike online, but the recorder, the power setup and the optional paid features differ a lot. We want to make that choice simple.
What we do
We read the product details, specs and maker information for every camera system we cover. We also look at what buyers often say after using one.
Then we turn it all into plain guides, side-by-side comparisons and clear picks. You can read more on our How we research page.
What we don't do
We don't sell camera systems, and no brand pays us to rank its products.
We don't claim to have tested every product ourselves. When we pick something, we tell you why, based on its specs, its features and buyer feedback.
How we earn money
Some links on this site go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
That never changes which products we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
